Established in March 1991 by Sherry Keegan, Branding Iron BBQ has been a cherished staple in Cass County for over three decades. As a lifelong resident of the area and a proud native of Drexel, Sherry brought her deep-rooted passion for great food and community to every plate served.
Now, the tradition continues as her son Richard and his wife Amber step into ownership, carrying forward the same dedication to quality and hospitality that Sherry made the cornerstone of the restaurant. With a commitment to preserving the flavors and values that made Branding Iron BBQ a local favorite, Richard and Amber are proud to keep the legacy alive—serving up authentic, mouthwatering barbecue for generations to come.

Came in as I was passing through cross country and so glad I did! Had the burnt end lunch and it was amazing! GET THE BEANS!!!! the hot barbecue sauce was amazing! Staff was great and restaurant was so clean! So glad I stopped here for a break!

First time trying this place. Great barbecue. The server was upbeat and knowledgeable. And the owner even stopped by the table and chatted. Told us his favorite item (that they no longer offer) and after describing it, went in back and pieced it together for us to try. Such amazing hospitality.

The food and service are always good. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The beef burnt ends are, by far, the best I've ever had in my life! They practically melt in your mouth. If you like good BBQ, you'll love this place.
